Ääniä is State of Finland’s Official Soundscape, commissioned by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland for composer Lauri Porra.The work is a musical journey capturing the natural beauty, tranquillity, and vast expanses of the Finnish landscape.
The accompanying photographic series translates the fifteen compositions into images: nocturnal forests, water surfaces, and seasonal light form a visual dialogue with the music’s meditative tone. Together, sound and image offer a slow, immersive experience of Finland.
