Still lifes become a kind of portraits or psychological states. Small remarks define the nature of the image, create narratives and define how images are read culturally. As things fall apart and decay, they highlight the passage of time, decay and withering. 


Order and arrangement is lost and elements are transformed back into nature. The ongoing series of still lifes are composed from flowers in our home garden in Raseborg, Finland.
