The work leads the gaze toward unseen processes of the old growth forest. The cinema screen can be seen as a sculptural element, resembling charcoal drawings or organic processes rather than photography or film. The work is a visual counterpart to live improvisational music and an attempt to offer an alternative view on seeing the forest. The work finds its origins in analogue image-making, nature of light sensitive materials, collodion, silver. The piece is composed of transparent and animated still images of fallen trees. The work reflects time spent in old growth forests, cyclical elements of nature and relating human experience on immersive nature of the place.
